AURA TWIN is a matching platform. We connect people who want tasks done with independent workers who have submitted verification documents. We are a non-custodial facilitator — we charge AURA tokens per action (posting or accepting a gig) and surface a factual trail if something goes wrong. Real-money gig payment happens off-platform, directly between you and the other party. We are not your employer, not a credential verifier, not a dispute mediator, and not a payment rail. Real-world task outcomes are the responsibility of the poster and the worker. The AI agent helps you screen and match — it does not make binding decisions unless you explicitly enable Agent Acts mode. These terms are governed by Queensland law. By using the service you agree to them.
1. Who you're agreeing with
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Aura Social Pty Ltd (trading as AURA TWIN), an Australian company (ACN 696 919 963), with its principal place of business in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using any part of the AURA TWIN service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Questions about these Terms can be directed to info@auratwin.co.
2. Eligibility
To use AURA TWIN you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not have had a previous AURA TWIN account suspended or terminated for cause
During the pilot phase, access is limited to invited users in Queensland, Australia. Access outside Queensland during the pilot is at our discretion and may be withdrawn at any time.
One account per person. Accounts are non-transferable.
3. What AURA TWIN is
AURA TWIN provides five things:
A matching layer
AURA TWIN connects people who want tasks done with independent workers who have been verified at signup. We do not direct, schedule, or supervise the work. We surface candidates and let you decide.
An internal credit ledger
Aura credits are charged at the point of action (posting or accepting a gig). They are not held against gig completion and do not represent or secure payment for the work itself. Real-money payment for completed tasks happens directly between poster and tasker, off-platform. The ledger is internal to the platform. See Section 6 for what Aura credits are and are not.
A dispute trail
When a dispute arises, AURA TWIN holds the gig record, bid record, and communication metadata (not the E2EE chat content, which the server cannot read). That record is the factual trail. We surface it to both parties.
An agent-mediated assistant
The AI agent pre-screens bids and surfaces ranked recommendations. The agent is a tool — it does not make binding decisions on your behalf unless you have explicitly opted into Agent Acts mode, which requires a full-screen confirmation. See Section 9.
A verification gate
Every worker on the platform has submitted government photo ID, real name and date of birth, ABN (or sole-trader equivalent), and business contact details before being allowed to bid. Regulated trades additionally submit licence proof and public liability certificate. These details are stored encrypted and surfaced only as a badge summary visible to the poster.
4. What AURA TWIN is not
These are active denials, not hedged disclaimers. Read them carefully before relying on the platform.
5. Your account
You create your AURA TWIN account using a passkey (a cryptographic credential created on your device via Android Credential Manager). Your private key never leaves your device. We store only the public key component.
You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Because there is no password, account access is tied to your device. If you lose access to your device, contact us at info@auratwin.co to initiate account recovery.
One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension, accumulate credits, or misrepresent your identity is a breach of these Terms and will result in all associated accounts being terminated.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Closure is subject to the data retention terms in our Privacy Policy.
6. Aura credits
AURA is the in-app token that powers Aura's AI matching and negotiation. AURA credits are an internal ledger unit. They are:
- Not money — they are not currency, stored value, or a monetary instrument under Australian law.
- Not redeemable for cash — AURA is an in-app utility token with no cash-redemption value.
- Not securities or financial products — they do not represent equity, debt, or any interest in Aura Social Pty Ltd. Nothing in these Terms is financial advice.
- Not guaranteed — credits held in your account are subject to the continued operation of the platform. Aura Social Pty Ltd makes no representation that credits will retain any particular value or be convertible at any future rate.
Charges for gig actions
During the pilot, posting a gig costs a flat 10 AURA (charged to the poster) and accepting a gig costs a flat 10 AURA (charged to the tasker), regardless of the gig's stated budget. After the pilot phase concludes, this may change to the higher of 10 AURA or 15% of the gig's stated budget per side. We will give 14 days' notice of any such change, and you will be reminded of the applicable charge before each action.
Top-up packs available in the in-app store: Starter 50 AURA for $6.99 · Explorer 250 AURA for $24.99 · Pro 1,000 AURA for $79.99 · Whale 5,000 AURA for $249.99.
Off-platform payments & facilitator liability
Aura is a non-custodial facilitator and communication platform — not an employer, labour-hire agency, or payment processor. Aura is not a party to any agreement formed between users. Payment for a completed gig is arranged and made directly between the poster and the tasker, off-platform (for example by PayID, bank transfer, or cash). Aura does not hold, escrow, or transmit gig payments and takes no commission on the amount paid for a gig. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aura is not liable for the performance, quality, payment, or conduct of any gig — disputes are resolved directly between the users involved. Nothing here excludes any consumer guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Credits earned during the pilot may, at our discretion, carry multiplier bonuses applicable to gigs completed within the first 90 days of public launch. These multipliers are promotional and subject to change. We will give notice of any change to the credit model that materially affects your balance.
7. Tasker verification
If you register as a tasker, you must submit the following before being permitted to bid:
- A government-issued photo ID
- Your full legal name and date of birth
- Your ABN or sole-trader registration details
- Business contact information
- For regulated trades: trade licence documentation and public liability insurance certificate
FounderVouched: "Vouched-for as part of the pilot cohort. Expires <date>. AURA never reads your chat with this worker — messages stay E2EE on your device. We don't validate credentials."
CredentialsUploaded: "Self-declared: <categories>. AURA never reads your chat with this worker — messages stay E2EE on your device. We don't validate the artifact — review for yourself."
The badge means you have submitted these documents. It does not mean we have authenticated them against a government database, confirmed a licence is currently active with the relevant regulator, or run any background check.
By submitting verification documents, you warrant that they are genuine, current, and belong to you. Submitting false, expired, or third-party documents is a breach of these Terms and may expose you to legal liability independent of these Terms.
As a tasker, you are an independent operator. You are responsible for:
- Holding any trade licence, registration, or permit required by Australian law for the services you offer
- Maintaining valid public liability and professional indemnity insurance appropriate to your trade
- Complying with all applicable Australian workplace health and safety obligations
- Your own tax obligations, including GST registration if applicable
8. The AI agent
AURA TWIN's AI agent operates in one of three modes, which you control:
Recommends (default)
The agent screens bids and surfaces a ranked shortlist with one-line reasoning. You review and decide. The agent takes no action without your explicit approval.
Full human approve
The agent drafts replies and bids on your behalf. You review everything before it is sent. Nothing goes out without your sign-off.
Agent Acts
The agent assigns gigs and commits credits automatically. This mode requires your explicit opt-in via a full-screen confirmation screen. You have a 60-second window to undo any agent action after it is taken. Once that window closes, the action is final.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the agent's recommendations are accurate and relevant. However:
- The agent may produce inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate recommendations.
- The agent does not have access to real-time licence registries, background check databases, or financial records.
- Recommendations are advisory only. You retain full responsibility for any gig you accept or assign, regardless of the mode you are using.
Do not use the agent to circumvent another user's blocklist, preferences, or privacy settings. Using the agent to mass-contact users, scrape profiles, or evade a block is a breach of these Terms.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to use AURA TWIN to:
- Post fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive gigs
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate any person
- Circumvent another user's block, report, or preference settings
- Circumvent or manipulate the AURA token charge (e.g. through multiple accounts, exploits, or other technical means)
- Submit false verification documents or misrepresent your qualifications
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform in bulk
- Use the AI agent to evade detection, spam other users, or automate conduct that would otherwise breach these Terms
- Engage in any conduct that violates Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law
We may take action — including suspension or termination — in response to any conduct that breaches these Terms or that we reasonably believe harms users or the platform.
10. Content and IP
You own the content you post on AURA TWIN — your gig descriptions, profile information, and any attachments you add to a gig.
By posting content, you grant Aura Social Pty Ltd a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service. This licence terminates when you delete the content or close your account, subject to the retention terms in our Privacy Policy.
You do not grant us any right to read or use chat messages or bid contents — these are end-to-end encrypted and the server cannot access them. The licence above applies only to content you post in unencrypted fields (gig titles, descriptions, profile data).
The AURA TWIN name, wordmark, and product design are proprietary to Aura Social Pty Ltd. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or illegal conduct, or posed a risk to other users or the platform.
Where possible, we will give you advance notice and an opportunity to respond before suspension. In cases involving serious harm, abuse, or fraud, we may act immediately.
You may close your account at any time by contacting info@auratwin.co. Credits held at the time of voluntary closure are forfeited, as there is no cash redemption mechanism during the pilot.
Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that accrued before the date of termination, including any outstanding gig obligations or disputed credit amounts.
12. Disclaimers
AURA TWIN is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by Australian law, we make no warranties — express or implied — about the service, including:
- Gig outcomes — we do not guarantee that a worker will complete a gig to your satisfaction, on time, or at all. Task quality is the responsibility of the poster and the worker.
- AI recommendations — the agent may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased recommendations. Treat them as a starting point, not a definitive assessment.
- Verification badges — a verification badge means a worker has submitted documents. It does not mean we have validated those documents are authentic, current, or that the worker holds a valid licence right now.
- Continuous availability — the platform may experience downtime, and we are not liable for loss arising from unavailability during the pilot.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot be excluded by contract.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aura Social Pty Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the greater of:
- The total Aura credits paid by you in gig transactions in the 12 months preceding the claim, converted at the nominal credit rate applicable at the time; or
- AU$50
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in this section excludes our liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law including under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Indemnification
If you are a tasker, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aura Social Pty Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your performance of, or failure to perform, any gig
- Your breach of any obligation under these Terms
- Your breach of any applicable law, including workplace health and safety laws, licensing requirements, or consumer protection legislation
- Any claim by a poster or third party arising from the services you provide through the platform
In plain English: you run your own business. If a poster or a third party has a claim against you arising from your work, that claim is yours to handle. AURA TWIN should not be drawn into it.
15. Disputes between users
When a dispute arises between a poster and a worker, AURA TWIN will surface the factual trail — the gig record, bid record, and communication metadata — to both parties. This gives both sides the same documented account of what was agreed and when.
AURA TWIN does not adjudicate disputes, determine fault, or award remedies. The parties are responsible for resolving the dispute between themselves.
During the pilot, Anson (founder) is the escalation contact for disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties. Contact info@auratwin.co with the subject "Dispute escalation" and include the gig ID. Anson will respond personally. This is a customer-service function — it is not binding arbitration, mediation, or any formal dispute resolution process.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from pursuing their legal rights through the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) or other courts of competent jurisdiction.
16. Governing law and forum
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute about these Terms or the service that is not resolved through the process in Section 15 will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
If you are outside Australia, you agree that Australian law governs these Terms and that you submit to the jurisdiction of Queensland courts for the purposes of any dispute.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes — such as adding new obligations, changing the credit model, or expanding the platform's scope — we will notify registered users by in-app notification or email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you may close your account before the effective date. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
The version number and "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflect the current Terms.
